It's time to assemble everything into a presentation slide deck that you will submit in the slack channel #capstone-01.

Here's a rough order of how a product manager will typically present this type of information in a slide deck:

  • Give a summary or agenda for the project capstone
  • Offer a brief pitch for the solution that you're recommending
  • Summarize the competitive analysis, market sizing, SWOT, and user research
  • Present personas you developed
  • Present the MVP and user flow
  • Give OKRs, KPIs for that recommendation

To help you focus on the product work and not the busy work, you can use this presentation template that already has slides for each of these steps. First, make your own copy; then, edit the template.

Focus less on having a great design in your slides/presentation and more on having good content.

Use the content to guide how you build your presentation. But the template is an aid, not a requirement—be careful not to let it dictate your content. You may need to add or remove slides, or you might have unique reasons to display information in a different order or format. It's also recommended that you change the deck's appearance. To do this, click on Theme and choose an appropriate visual style, or search online for free slide deck themes to import.

Make sure to include detailed speaker notes if you want to explain more on a certain slide. (Instructions for printing speaker notes are available for several presentation tools: Google Slides, Microsoft PowerPoint, Apple Keynote.) It should be easy for the people reading to understand your notes. Read through them to ensure that you've written clearly and haven't used any shorthand that only you would understand.

- Customer funnel analysis, user flow map
- At least two user personas for the new product
- Evidence from user research (interview or observe at least three users)
- A clear recommendation for action that is supported by evidence
