📄️ 12.1 Overview
In this second capstone project, you'll apply the user research, user experience design, and roadmapping skills you've learned in this phase to a scenario involving adding features to an existing product. Your deliverables will include a user survey, notes from interviews with three users, a storyboard, a prototype, a summary of a usability test with at least one user, and a product roadmap. You will bring all of these together in a presentation covering your findings and recommendations.
📄️ 12.2 Planning
The scenarios below ask you to add a feature to an existing product based on user needs. This is reflective of the type of recommendations you would need to deliver as a product manager. As you learn about your users' needs, you'll determine what's next for your product.
📄️ 12.3 User Research
Before you can ideate about new feature(s) for your product, you need to better understand your users. This is a key step in the process and will inform your designs and your priorities.
📄️ 12.4 Ideate & Roadmap
Next, you'll assemble a prioritized roadmap with all the ideas for improvement based on your user research. As you complete the tasks listed below and work on your roadmap, remember that the plan you create at this stage is in broad strokes; some of it will include guesswork. In a real-world situation, collaborators, such as your design and engineering teams, will help you make informed estimates. For the sake of this project, your best guess is good enough.
📄️ 12.5 Design & Test MVP
Now that you have a sound understanding of your users and a prioritized list of ideas to improve your product, you can start executing those ideas. In this milestone, you will create and test designs for an MVP of your top-prioritized idea.

📄️ 12.7. Present
At this point, your presentation is the best it can be. And you already have some experience in the type of work product managers do! Now, it's time to complete your first capstone experience by presenting your work to the PMcademy community.
