12.6 Assemble Presentation ๐ค
This section includes a reminder to have a mentor call ๐ค
It's time to take all the impressive work you've done and put it together into the amazing presentation you will soon share with the entire PMcademy community.
Remember, your final presentation must include all of the following:
- A summary of findings from your user research
- A summary of your usability test results
- A prioritized list of features that you considered building and an explanation of why items are prioritized this wayโespecially explaining how you determined the top-priority feature
- Your roadmap of features to launch an MVP of the experience
- A storyboard and prototype for the MVP of the experience
This time, we are not providing a template for your slides (the training wheels are coming off!). As you design your presentation, go back to the best practices for design presented in the module The way of the product manager.
Due to the type of detailed content included in this presentation, you will not be able to follow these guidelines to the letter. For example, you'll need to have more than six words in most of your slides. But, keep the principles for crafting and designing a great presentation in mind. Less is moreโeven when you need to share a prioritized list of features.
At the end of this checkpoint, you will submit your presentation for evaluation. To finalize your submission, complete the following tasks.
- Review your presentation to make sure the content is clearly presented. If you can, have someone who knows nothing of your work on this project read through it and ask them to tell you what they understood or remember. You can "usability test" presentations too!
- Review your presentation to make sure it looks great. Are slides too text heavy? Did you choose appropriate fonts and colors? Focus on readability and a clean, uncomplicated look. If you struggle with design, consider using a business presentation template.
- Prepare your detailed speaker notes. Because all your research and content will not be written in your slides, your notes should be detailed and easily understood. Read through them to ensure that you wrote clearly and didn't use any shorthand only you would understand. (Instructions for printing speaker notes can be found here: Google Slides, Microsoft PowerPoint, Apple Keynote.)
Take a moment to congratulate yourself. This was a hefty project. All that's left is submitting it and presenting it to the world.
Assignmentโ
Create your slide deck and speaker notes.
There is nothing to submit here, you will submit everything together in the end
Mentor Call 4 ๐คโ
Time for your fourth mentor call. Although you could get mentored from any free platform online, we recommend ADPList as it's free and boasts a huge community of product experts. You might have to signup to it's platform (which is again free) and schedule a mentor call from the ADPList platform itself.
Schedule a mentor call with an ADPList product mentor. ADPList provides free mentorships for everyone and is an amazing platform to learn and meet experts. Please ensure you take mentor calls with importance. Mentors play a crucial role in your career. Do not ask mentors to review assignments. They are only meant to guide you and give you tips on your growth. These are optional calls as well.
Let the mentors know beforehand what the call is about. Share you questions and let them know you are a bootcamp student. Again refrain from asking assignment related questions. They aren't meant to review your assignments.
Below are the list of mentors that we have collaborated with at PMcademy.

Looking for more mentors ?โ
You can choose to get mentored from any other mentor as well. Visit this link to find more product mentors from ADPList. However note that not everyone is aware of PMcademy, it that case let them know beforehand about PMcademy.com and about your meeting agenda.
